The 2023 Conference will kick-off at 5:00pm and highlights for the evening include a welcome from Pingry Head of School, Timothy Patrick Lear, and a panel of Pingry alumni reflecting on the conference theme, Pursuit of Purpose.

    • 5:00-5:30pm: Check-In + Networking

    • 5:30 -6:15pm: Welcome, Remarks from Head of School + Pingry Alumni Panel

    • 6:15-7:15pm: Dinner (Panel guests invited to join for dinner)

    • 7:15-8:30pm: Optional Networking Event

The final day is designed for participants to synthesize all that they have learned, heard, and shared during the conference. We are also thrilled to spotlight student voices during the closing day of the 2023 conference!

    • 8:00-9:00am: Breakfast Discussion in the Dining Hall

    • 9:15-10:00am: Peer 2 Peer Presentation (led by Pingry Students) in the Theater

    • 10:00-11:30am: Workshop Session II

    • 11:30am-12:00pm: Closing Remarks

    • 12:00-12:30: Check-out + Grab & Go Lunch

LODGING & TRANSPORTATION

The Pingry School is offering on-site lodging at their residential campus (51 Pottersville Rd, Pottersville, NJ 07979). Attendees will be housed in single dorms with linens provided. Ample parking for conference attendees is available on-site.

Airport: Newark International Airport (approximately 40 minutes)

Train Stations: Metropark (serviced by NJ Transit + Amtrak—approximately 40 minutes) OR East Brunswick (serviced by NJ Transit + Amtrak—approximately 35 minutes)

Other hotel options (please note: transportation is not provided to/from these hotels to the Conference. Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation):

Thursday will be a full-day for participants and will include an off-site, service experience with a community partner organization. More details to come!

    • 7:00-8:00am: Breakfast available in the Dining Hall 

    • 8:00-9:00am: Breakfast Discussion in the Dining Hall

    • 9:00am-12:30pm: Volunteer at Newark Science and Sustainability locations. Participants will be volunteering outdoors at several local gardens so please pack accordingly. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! Closed-toe shoes required.

    • 12:30-2:00pm: Lunch/Break

    • 2:15-3:45pm: Workshop Session I

    • 3:45-4:15pm: Snacks & Refreshments

    • 4:15-5:15: Alabama Trip Share Out (facilitated by Pingry trip leaders + participants)

    • 6:30-7:30/8:00pm: Dinner + Taiko Drumming performance (performed by Pingry Students)
